get to know
our Process

Before having an initial meeting, to determine if Booth Building and Design is the right team for your project, please complete the questionnaire located on the contact page and we'll reach out to you to schedule an initial build conversation.

We'll ask you to provide:
- Ideal Budget
- Floor Plan
- Lot Location
- Desired Start Date & Timeline
- And more!

Next, we'll begin the conversation about what it will take to make a great build process.

We'll talk through your desires and expectations and then it will be time to begin the design process and consider your interior and exterior selections. You'll need to interview and select an architect or draftsman, consider your lifestyle, and prioritize your desires for the new home. You'll also need to collect inspiration pictures and fine tune the collection to tell a story. We'll be available along the way to provide architectural and selection feedback and you'll meet with our team to finalize your orders.

Unlike most builders, we have an incredible interior designer on our team. Cassie Booth, ASID is an accredited interior designer and registered in the state of Arkansas. She brings more than 20 years of experience to the table in architectural guidance, floor plan design, and exterior/interior material and finish consultation. She is available to assist you with all the details that make a house a home. After our initial meeting, the client can decide if they want to partner with Cassie as the designer or utilize their own outside design firm.

Your next step will be to meet with subs and suppliers to make your interior and exterior selections. You’ll be meeting with some of the best suppliers and subcontractors in Northwest Arkansas. You will make selections in exteriors, doors, windows, appliances, fireplaces, plumbing, lighting and flooring to name a few. At appointments set up with our local reps, you will be in great hands as you make these important and fun decisions.

Finally, we'll take your plans and send out to all contractors and vendors who are specialized to your needs so we can give you final estimates and nail down a realistic timeline before the building starts.

*Please note that you are ultimately in control of your own budget. We are happy to be a guide for your decisions and pricing, but the cost of the build relies entirely upon your design selection.

Once you're ready to move forward, it's time to put everything in writing.

We'll present a building agreement, go over final estimates and timelines, ask for a deposit to get started, discuss everyone's responsibilities, talk through our builder's warranty, and finally lock in a proposed budget and timeline. We'll also ask you to go through room by room to make sure your selections are complete. Finally, we'll also cover any questions you may have before moving forward and breaking ground.

We'll break ground and begin to move efficiently through the build process. You'll also finish any interior or exterior selections that have not been made so we can place orders on materials.

In addition to typical jobsite visits, we’ll have 7 main extensive on site walk through meetings. These meeting categories are:
- Foundation
- Framing
- Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing
- Trim & Cabinets
- Interior finishes
- Exterior finishes
- Final punch list

*For financial transparency, you can also expect detailed construction draws bi-weekly. These systematic draws include detailed spreadsheets and copies of receipts, orders, invoices, and more.

As we get close to finishing, we'll start making a list together of our final punch list items. We'll talk through finishing touches and anything else that we'll need to complete before move-in. Our goal is your satisfaction before you start the heavy lifting!

Upon move-in, you'll receive a "welcome home packet" with owners manuals, warranties, final paperwork and anything else that's important.

After move-in, we'll turn in our final invoices and close out our budget.

Enjoy your new home!
